A man hunts for his missing child

I heard this movie was bad, but it was not as bad as I thought it would be.
There are a lot of weird plot holes. For example, a kid is really scared of stairs but uses them the whole movie with no problem?
the last 15 minutes gets a lil r*pe-y and weird for no reason.
typical B Netflix movie.
